The itinerary
Then, you will leave Florence and stop in Padua, the city of St. Anthony, before arriving in Venice. Settle into your hotel on the main Venice Island and then enjoy a walking tour of Venice's major monuments including St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Your final day will be dedicated to Murano Island where you will observe a glass blowing demonstration before heading south to Rome, where the tour will conclude. Immerse yourself in Venice's captivating atmosphere during this escorted group tour of the famous Floating City.
DAY 01 (Tuesday): FLORENCE
Arrival on your own at your hotel accommodation in Florence and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. You may wish to admire some of Florence's most famous sights such as the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the Ponte Vecchio. In the evening, meet and greet with your tour escort and your travel companions for dinner. Overnight stay at your hotel in Florence's city center.
Day 02 (Wednesday): FLORENCE, PADUA, VENICE
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Venice. On the way you will stop in Padua where you will enjoy a brief visit of the Basilica of St Anthony, with its many lovely frescoes and guarded by the famous Gattamelata Statue by Donatello. The motor coach will then continue on to Venice, famous around the world for its beauty and lively canals. Our hotel will be located right on the main Venice Island, surrounded by canals and bridges, narrow lanes, beautiful palaces, gondolas and gondoliers. Join a walking sightseeing tour of Venice, stopping to admire Saint Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Prisons, before enjoying dinner with your group at your hotel then retiring for the night.
Day 03 (Thursday): VENICE
After breakfast at the hotel, you will cross the lagoon by boat and reach the Island of Murano to visit a glass factory and watch the artisans mold each piece by hand and create unique Murano Glass. In the afternoon you will board a motor coach or a high speed train to Rome (means of transport to be reconfirmed a few days before). Your arrival in Rome will mark the end of our services.
