The itinerary
This tour offers plenty of opportunities to admire famous landmarks like the Colosseum and the canals of Venice, as well as breathtaking vistas from the rolling hills of Tuscany to the colorful cliff-side villages of the Amalfi Coast. A unique highlight of this tour is an overnight stay on the picturesque Island of Capri, allowing you to fully experience Capri's unique charm. Enjoy ample free time to explore independently and create unforgettable memories during this comprehensive escorted group tour.
Day 01: ROME
Upon arrival at Rome Airport, transfer on your own to your hotel accommodation in Rome. Dinner on your own and overnight in the Eternal City.
Day 02: ROME, ASSISI, SIENA, FLORENCE
Start your journey at the assigned meeting point in Rome’s historical center. Your first stop is in charming Assisi, where you have free time to explore the beautiful city center, including the Basilica of St. Francis with its breathtaking frescoes. After lunch on your own, continue through the panoramic Tuscan hill country to Siena, known for its medieval history and the Palio horse race in Piazza del Campo. Capture beautiful photos before heading to Florence for dinner and overnight.
Day 03: FLORENCE
Enjoy breakfast before a guided tour of Florence’s historic center. Marvel at the art and architecture of the Renaissance, including the Duomo, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Baptistery. Visit Piazza Della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Santa Croce Basilica. Lunch on your own. The afternoon is free for optional visits to the Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery, or a tour to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower (optional, not included). Dinner and overnight in Florence.
Day 04: FLORENCE, BOLOGNA, PADUA, VENICE
After breakfast, check out and travel to Bologna, renowned for its food and porticoes. Explore the historic streets and admire the Podesta' Palace, Piazza del Nettuno, and the Basilica of San Petronio. After lunch (not included), continue to Padua to visit the Basilica of St. Anthony. Arrive in Venice for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 05: VENICE
Begin your day with breakfast, followed by a visit to St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica, and an exterior view of the Doge's Palace. See the Bridge of Sighs and enjoy free time in the afternoon for optional activities like visiting Murano Island or exploring Venice’s museums (optional, not included). Dinner with the group and overnight in Venice.
Day 06: VENICE, TUSCANY, MONTEPULCIANO, ROME
After breakfast, travel to Tuscany, capturing the picturesque countryside. Stop in Montepulciano, rich in art and history, with free time to explore and possibly visit a winery. Return to Rome, check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner on your own, and overnight.
Day 07: ROME
After breakfast, visit Vatican City. Skip the line to explore the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Free time for lunch and the afternoon for leisure activities like shopping or visiting the Colosseum and Roman Forum (optional, not included). Dinner on your own and overnight in Rome.
Day 08: ROME, NAPLES, POMPEII, SORRENTO
Enjoy breakfast before departing to Naples. Take a panoramic city tour, followed by lunch. Visit Pompeii’s archaeological site to see the ancient city preserved by volcanic ash. Continue to Sorrento for dinner and overnight.
Day 09: SORRENTO
After breakfast, enjoy a free day in Sorrento. Explore the shops, historic churches, or simply relax with a meal and Limoncello. Optional day trip to the Amalfi Coast (not included). Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: SORRENTO, CAPRI with overnight on the island
After breakfast, take a ferry to the Island of Capri and, weather permitting, visit the Blue Grotto. Enjoy free time to explore Capri, lunch with the group, and dinner on your own. Overnight stay on Capri.
Day 11: CAPRI, ROME
Breakfast and free time in Capri. In the afternoon, return to Rome by ferry and motor coach. Check in at your hotel, dinner on your own, and overnight in Rome.
Day 12: ROME
After breakfast at the hotel, the tour and our services conclude.
